From Exergue Upon Globomanagerialisation
What can be said of the manager’s tendency to always already both manage, that is, get by, make do, survive, in other words live, and simultaneously manage, that is, ossify, systematize, deaden, that is, kill? In this autoinoculation of the system by itself and for itself can be read a radical tendency to piss me the hell off; annoy me, make me despair, make me consider if not suicide then at least a new job. And it is in this precise radicalisation of the apparent units of the system which are not units but merely the apparation of a trace of a node, that we discover the truth of the old saying, “oh you total shitting bastards, not again”, so often heard in the administrative abyss of the modern university, itself so far, one might say, from universal, except in this very cry.
